Inglot Palette!

Hello Everyone!

So we’re back again with our third blog post (feel free to check out our other posts!) and we decided that it was about time we did a post on something we’ve been meaning to do for a long time now… Our Inglot Palettes! We have one natural / daytime palette and one bright-ish / night time palette and we intend on getting more! So let’s get going with the first palette:

Summer/Spring palette
colours left to right: 342, 31, 397, 46, 24.

We have pretty much complete opposite colours in our palettes, which is great comparing as we have a winter/fall one and a spring/summer one. As you can see this palette is all neutrals with one shade that's adds that pop of colour for a super cute summer look!

342- Is just a simple matte brown and is the perfect natural crease colour for more pale toned skins.
31- Is a shimmery sandy brown and looks great swept across the lid.
397- Is a pearly pink, looks great for a slightly more pale summer look.
46- Is an amazing shimmer peach with a lovely iridescent silver colour, great for the inner corner.
24- Is a cool minty green colour and looks great in the inner corner for a subtle pop of colour.

Favourite look (very natural):
1 – (Prime lids) Sweep 397 all over the lids.
2 – Apply 342 into the crease and blend the two colours out.
3- Take a little bit of 46 and pack that into the inner 1/3 and inner corner.
4- Your done, add a little bit of brown eyeliner and some mascara for a more finished look.

Favourite look (pop of colour):
1-(prime lids) Sweep 31 across the lid focuses on the outter eye and placing only little (or even better none in the inner third).
2- Apply 342 into the crease and blend the two colours out.
3- Pack 24 onto a damp shader brush and pack that into the inner 1/3 and inner corner.
4- Sweep a little bit of 31 under the lid and with a bit of mascara your done!

Fall/winter
Colours left to right- 07, 606, 12, 452, 402.

(swatch colours go right to left)

402 Pearl - My favourite colour in this palette, a beautiful shimmery taupe shade with a slight iridescence.
452 Pearl – A very pigmented shimmery plum shade, just quite hard to wear.
12 Shine – Very similar to 452 just has more orangey undertones.
606 Pearl – Bright burnt shimmery orange, quite similar to Chopper by Urban Decay but brighter.
07 Shine – A very deceiving colour in the pan it looks quite creamy, but in real life it’s a lot more yellow / bright gold, can look pretty in the tear duct though for a bright pop.

Favourite evening look:
1 – (Prime lids) Sweep 402 all over the lid.
2 – In the “Outer V” use 452 for a nice colourful pop.
3 – Blend!
4– Push 12 along the top and bottom lash-line, trying to get as close to the lashes as possible, we are only trying to add definition, not make it look like eyeliner.
5 – To highlight the inner corner and really make your eyes pop, use 07.
6 – Add some mascara and your Done!

Formula:
The formula of every one of these shadows is very creamy with minimal fall-out. They have some serious pigmentation and with a decent primer (we love the Urban Decay Primer Potion) they can last all day. The shade range is phenomenal (which is not always a good thing as it makes you want all of them!) with budget friendly prices too.

Packaging:
Not only do they have a large amount of colours to choose from, great colour pay off and a lovely texture. The packaging looks great as well. As you can see it is a five colour palette with a magnetic glass top. The packaging looks really sleek and looks quite unique to them.

Inglot freedom system:
Our palettes are both from the inglot freedom system. If you don't know what the inglot freedom system is, it's basically where you buy an empty palette (your choice between 1,2,5,10 ect) and then you can choose the separate colours you want to put in it. Although this is great sincce you can create the perfect palette, you may end up in the same problem as Roxy where your so overwhelmed by the colour choice you can't choose and end up with colours your not that happy with. Another problem is there is only one of each colour so my advice would be to go with a couple of colours in mind and go from there.

Where to buy it:
You can purchase inglot from the inglot shops or online at http://www.inglotuk.com/. Although they are somewhat pricey at £29.50 for a 5 colour palette, they are definately worth the money!

Overall, the inglot palettes are great providing you get the right colours. With good colour pay off, nice formula, lovely packaging and the colours of your choice they are pretty much all round great palettes.

Hope you've enjoyed this post, if you have any suggestions leave them in the comments below!
Have a wonderful day! x

Summer Favourites 2013!

Welcome to our second post! So seeming as the weather in the UK has actually been reasonably warm lately, we thought this would be a great idea to do our Spring - Summer Favourites! So without further a do, lets get into it!

1 - Face Products

As you've probably noticed, all our face products for the summer are high street (excluding the Lioele BB Cream as you can only buy this online) as not only are these affordable but they are also very comparable to high-end foundations - atleast in our opinion!

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation (The old formula) - Firstly, this foundation smells amazingly fruity and fresh compared to a lot of high-street foundations and is very easy to apply (we like to use the real techniques stippling brush for an airbrushed effect). It gives you a glowing face but is actually a semi-matte finish making it suitable for oily skin without making you look like a greaseball! The shade-range is also pretty good, the only problem is that it can cling to any dry patches you've got left from winter, so make sure you exfoliate and moisturise your skin first!

Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream - This BB cream has a 30 SPF making it great for hotter days when you're not needing too much coverage (as it is water-based) and gives a nice finish, the only problem is that the shade-range is not great, meaning that the lightest shade will be too dark for any skin lighter than a NW20.

Lioele Water Drop BB Cream - This BB cream is light but still has more coverage than the Maybelline BB cream making it better for those "bad-skin-days", but is also moisturising, unfortunately it only comes in one shade (suits most) and is kind of hard to get hold of. (You an buy the lioele bb cream from here- http://cosmetic-love.com/lioele-water-drop-bb-spf-27-pa-50ml.html)

2 - Blush

Mac Easy Manner (satin) - This peachy pink blush gives a gorgeous natural flush to the cheeks and is really easy to wear making it ideal for people that are new to blush. It has a soft satin texture and is great for every-day use because it's nothing too bright.

Inglot 20 Blush - This blush (although in real life it's a lot lighter) is a great dupe for the benefit boxed blush in dandelion, it's the perfect baby pink colour and even if this colour isn't your favourite, we'd definitely recommend checking out the other colours they offer as they have a lovely formulation that doesn't wear off within 5 minutes!

3 - Lip Gloss

Barry M Lipgloss in 140 - Compared to your average sticky lipgloss, this is amazing! It's not sticky at all and the subtle pink shimmer shows up but not so much like you've thrown glitter all over your lips, believe it or not its also quite moisturising and can be worn over other lip products or on its own. We're looking forward to picking up a few different colours when this runs out!

L'oreal Colour Caresse Shine Stain in 102 Romy - These are reasonably new and are not like a gloss at all, infact they are rumoured to be just like the YSL glossy stains but for a fraction of the price! They feel light-weight and smooth on your lips and this particular colour is very natural so you can wear it everyday and because of the applicator is makes them very quick and easy to apply! On a side note, the packaging is very sleek and makes them look high-end. Particularly looks nice with the barry m lipgloss over the top although it looks lovely without a gloss too.

4 - Favourite Lipsticks

Mac Creme Cup - This perfect nudey pink looks really cute on the lips and looks more baby pinkish in real life, this cult mac lipstick has been raved enough about on many blogs, so check some of those out if you want a more in-depth description!

Mac Sunny Seoul - This corally-pink is the ultimate perfect summer lip colour, which looks absolutely gorgeous on darker skin tones or for when you begin to get a bit more tanned and because it's a cremesheen, it also moisturises your lips at the same time!

5- Favourite eye looks

Mac paint pot in vintage selection and mac eye shadow in Da Bling - These two eye shadows look great together and look great for the summer as they give a nice summery pink colour to the eye without being to overwhelming. Vintage selection is a metically rose gold/bronze and the creamy texture helps to keep the shadows in place even through the heat of the summer. Da Bling, when sweeped over the top, creates a subtle pink colour and makes this look great for summer since it incorporates colour.

6- Favourite summer palette

Inglot freedom system palette, Colours from left to right: Matte brown - 342
                                                                                  Shimmery brown - 31
                                                                                  Pearly Pink - 397
                                                                                  Shimmery peach - 46
                                                                                  Shimmery mint green - 24

This is by far my favourite palette for the spring and summer. The palette has really natural, quite pale colours, along with a matte shade for the crease and one bright colour to create a more fun daring summer look. The mint green looks great placed in the inner corner and inner third with the sandy brown colour swept on the rest of the lid, to just add a hint of colour for a summery feel. The pinks also look great for just a simple cute look in the summer and since they are nice and pale so are great for a casual day look. The eye shadows are also quite pigmented and give good colour pay off on the lids.

7- Favourite nail polishes

Essie Cute as a button, lilacism and turquoise and caicos.
Cute as a button is a neon coral colour and looks great for the summer since it is so vibrant and bright. Coral is really great for the summer and coral pink always looks great with a tan or when wearing white.
Lilacism is a gorgeous pastel lilac, great for the summer time because it is a nice soft colour and can be used as a bit of a change from the neon bright colours. Pastels are always great in the summer and lilac is always a great staple choice.
Turquoise and caicos is a lovely turquoise and again looks great in summer as it always reminds me of the beach. Again just like the rest, turquoise is a great colour for the summer and I feel like you can never go wrong with it in the summer.

We hope you have enjoyed our post and once again if you have any suggestions leave them in the comments. Hope you all have a wonderful day!
